Obituary

On Saturday, March 6, 2021, Darrel Jorgenson, loving husband, father and grandfather, went into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father at the age of 73. Darrel was born December 30, 1947 in Madison, South Dakota to Donald and Martha Jorgenson.

Darrel willingly enlisted in the Army in 1966 to go overseas to Vietnam. Serving from 1966-1968 and achieving a final ranking as a P5. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 2 Overseas Bars and a Sharpshooter Rifle.

Darrel had a passion for serving, it was a reflection of his God given path on Earth. He loved to problem solve and work on anything. He combined those two activities to always help his family and anyone who knew him, or anyone who was a stranger, always willingly without hesitation.

As a car enthusiast, adrenaline junky, and a straight wild man, he will always be known for his servantship to God, quick wit, addictive personality and compassionate persona.

Darrel was preceded in death by his father, Donald, his mother Martha, and his brother David.

He is survived by his wife Christy; sister Charlotte and her husband Jerry; his sons Darus (Cheryl), Donnie (Christine), Brian, Andrew (Nicole), Max (Erin); Damien, Jaden and Kevin; his daughters Katie and Catherine; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd Church, 3429 N Monroe Ave, Loveland, CO. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM with viewing from 11:00am-12:45pm. Private interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
