Susan Demo, 56, passed away on April 5, 2021 of natural causes. She was born on December 22, 1964, in Flagstaff, AZ to David and Bonnie Greer. Sue was a loving wife, grandma, daughter, sister, and friend.

Following in her dad’s military footsteps, Susan served for eight years as a Reservist in the US Army, and also earned two degrees from the University of Phoenix – a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in organizational management – as well as a Senior Professional in Human Resources designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). She was a respected HR professional and executive, working for Discover Financial Services, Rolls-Royce and most recently, Nutrien – where she was Vice President, HR Shared Services. Over the course of her life her career took her to Phoenix, Arizona; Beach Park, Illinois; Avon, Indiana; and Loveland, Colorado – and made a lasting impact in each community.

Susan loved the open road, particularly driving in her convertibles and riding her motorcycle, and was an avid traveler – as well as a frequent visitor to Estes Park in Colorado. She was passionate about caring for others and giving back to her communities through fundraiser walks and rides, and as a volunteer and board member for a variety of charity organizations.

Passionate about her country and her career, Susan’s dearest love was reserved for her family. She married Richard (Rick) Demo on May 16, 1996, and they enjoyed their children, Aaron (Alisha) Demo , Brody and Savannah; Justin (Joadie) Demo , Ryan, Sydney, Cy and Autumn; Ty Demo; and Paige (Darrin) Wright , Audriana, Julian, Darrin, Avae and Nicole – as well as their beloved dogs Emma, Vinnie, Luke and Hannah, throughout the quarter-century that followed.
Sue is also survived by her siblings – Patric Greer (Laurie Ainge), Kathy Greer, Jeffery (Robin) Greer , Kelley Greer and Tracy (Carolyn) Greer – and siblings-in-law – Scott (Lisa) Demo, Ray (Tammy) Rozell, Ron (Cheryl) Rozell, Kelly (Rick) Bowden, Rich (Julie) Richardson and Krissy (Dave) Giddens and other relatives and friends

Sue was preceded in death by her parents David and Bonnie Greer and sister-in-law Nancy Greer.

A Memorial Service will be held at Roosevelt 16, 1650 E Roosevelt Street, Phoenix AZ 85006 on April 24 at 11 a.m.

Donations can be made in Susan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Larimer Humane Society, Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Disabled Veterans of America, National Foundation for Cancer Research, American Heart Association and the USO.

Susan and I bonded during our early leadership journeys at Discover as we learned who we wanted to be as leaders. She was always crystal clear on her values and let her beliefs guide her actions. She was my role model and mentor soon becoming a cherished friend. I was so fortunate to share so much of my early professional life with such a strong and confident female leader. Oh the laughs we had along the way! The giggle fits when she’d close hers eyes and crinkle her nose up. Susan brought so much joy to so many people. My deepest condolences to her family.

Susan was my manager at Rolls-Royce. I won't forget her thoughtfulness, to get me a wedding gift even though we hadn't seen each other in some time.
